Special Performer

Bochan Huy

Bochan effortlessly bridges the East-West gap with an inimitable, soulful yet sweet indie-pop vibe. She authentically draws on her dual country upbringing, combining influences from the ultra-urban Oakland scene, coupled with her deep-rooted Cambodian inspiration and fellowship, to create her infectious new sound.

Special Screening

During the anniversary reception, SEARAC will be debuting a special private screening of its mini-documentary Made By Refugees: 40 Years of SEARAC, directed by entrepreneur and filmmaker Sahra V. Nguyen, who used the backdrop of our 20th anniversary Leadership and Advocacy Training in June 2019 to discuss SEARAC's role in addressing the opportunities and challenges for the SEAA movement toward equity. The film has special appearances from partners representing Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, Asian Prisoner Support Committee, Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association, and ReleaseMN8, as well as current and past SEARAC staff.
